Anyone else having trouble logging on to this site from a computer?

I am able to see it on my phone, but my desk top and laptop both give me an error 503: service temporarily unavailable.

TIA
RADAR

Yes, I have seen this when I am at customer's sites. I saw it using the wi-fi at a friends company in San Jose, I have seen it at the library here in SLC.

If I immediately connect with my wireless hot spot, I can get to the site with no problems. So I know beerleg is up.

Trying SurveyorConnect.com does not fix the issue either.

It looks like a DNS propagation error to me, but it is persistent lasting for months and never changing.

some times.

This morning, the first thread I opened was fine. Go to the next one and receive a "URL Not Found" message, which was repeated for all threads I tried. Closed out, try to log in, same message. Tried again, and, well, here I am, all is OK.

Happened a few days ago too; thought it was me somehow.

Wendell needs to help you - probably

I had a similar problem a while back - all of a sudden Wendell's ISP took a dislike to my ISP (BTW - it was my ISP's problem). He'll need you to send him specific details of the message and he'll (probably) be able to sort it out.

I may have narrowed it down. I installed a new modem XFINITY sent me and that's when the trouble started. It came with it's own WiFi, so that is what I use now.

I linked my phone to this WiFi and got the same message, switched to 4G LTE and it works.

Now, if I can just figure out how to make the new WiFi Connect to surveyorconnect.com I will be in business.
😀

It still goes back to the fact that the different connections are using a different ISP. I had a similar situation that it made a difference which way I connected.

It's actually our somewhat over-zealous spammer-scammer-hacker blocker. Because of the software we are using here (for now), we are concerned about security. So we installed a security "overlay", if you will, that watches for bad guys. It sometimes thinks that good guys are bad guys, so we have to tell it otherwise, once you let us know you are having trouble. Since using it, we've seen a MASSIVE difference in the load on the server, since we were constantly getting hammered with spam attempts prior to using this security overlay.

This should be irrelevant once we get the new forum up and running, since that software is actively maintained and supported. It also has a great reputation for blocking spammers, so we look forward to implementing it soon. We most likely won't have a need for the existing security overlay after the upgrade.
