I just posted a new thread in the CAD forum.?ÿ A minute or so after posting I wanted to add something, so I hit the Edit button and made the change.?ÿ However, I wasn't presented with an Update button, only Add Reply.?ÿ That resulted in an edited copy of my original post rather than an edit to the original.?ÿ Figuring that I did something wrong, I deleted the reply and tried again, but got the same result.?ÿ I'm thinking that's not the way it's supposed to work.

Trying again here, this is supposed to be an edit, but all I see is the Add Reply button.

I havenƒ??t figured it out yet, but sometimes the buttons work in iOS and sometimes not. I have cleared cache (once, twice, three times a lady) logged out and back in with no change. Then without notice, they work again. Could it be the age or source of the original post? I know that is a long shot.?ÿ

You can only edit a post within 60 minutes from when you originally posted it.

I just tried to edit my post 30 seconds after I posted. Edit didn't work. Quote is not working either. That's what got me into edit. I did a blockquote. Tried to get out of that. Couldn't. Figured I'd edit my post and couldn't.

The Firefox example on that site is for version 20, which was superseded in 2013.?ÿ I'm using v58, v59 is current.

Now that's funny. I guess I need to find a new reference.

Revisiting this thread, it indeed sounds like a browser cache issue, especially since many of our Javascript routines were rewritten and updated a couple weeks ago. When you click edit, it should scroll down to the editor, insert the post to be edited, then show an Update button. If this isn't happening, it sounds to me like an old cached script is interfering with the new script(s), which, again, is likely a browser caching issue. Now that a couple of weeks have passed, I'm wondering if it works now, because your old cache may have expired by now.

Was ?ÿjust able to create a thread, where i previously couldn't. It seems intermittent here on Safari, sometimes a feature won't work for awhile, then suddenly reappear. We're the survey crew, we can make things work though.?ÿ ??ÿ
