So having never really used a board like this, should you use the Original post when replying to someone, or just tag it onto the last person who commented? Is there a wrong way to go about this?
always tag who you are replying to, original or sub-level
Here I am, replying to your original post.
Here I am, replying to Johnny B.
So...JonnyB...if I wanted to be 'good'...I would say 'hey' TO YOU like this...
DDSM
Hey Andy...
Hey Rich...
And if I wanted to reply to Dan's subtext, I'd do it here.
Go back to the forum index and you can see the hierarchy better.
Hey Dan.
Does that help?
drop the "h" (Jonathan), but that's ok I'm a dyslexic, left handed surveyor, you should see me with state plane coords...:-)
Oops
Sorry

no problem, most people cant help but put an "h" in my name, but it doesn't matter, your character is impeccable(sp)

You can reply to any one of the posts, whether it be the original or a reply to the original. Or a reply to a reply to a reply to a reply to the original. hahaha
Relate it to a folder system, like browsing files in Windows Explorer. There's the main folder with subfolders under it. Each subfolder might have subfolders under them each of which relates to the parent subfolder, and so on.
