Trimble R10. End user updating the warranty date in the receiver. Is it possible?

Is it possible, without special software, for the end user to update a Trimble R10 receiver's firmware warranty update? If so, how is it done? I have purchased the reinstatement for $1,268, and have the paper work, showing a password (for the update?). Many thanks for any help Background: (For those who have a need to know why you aren't getting the dealer involved anytime you come on this site and ask these kinds of questions....) (In 2018, while visiting a Trimble store in the big city, I purchased a Hardware & Firmware Reinstatement for an R10. However, it never occurred to me to ask the dealer to install the reinstatement onto my R10. As an old Leica GPS/GNSS user, for the past 25 years I have always been the one to handle such matters, so I left the Trimble store figuring I would be the one to take care of the firmware issues. And, since the Trimble dealer never brought it up (ie loading the new warranty date onto the R10), I presumed it was something the end user would do. Now, 3 years later, and needing to load updated firmware onto the R10, I am stuck with the old warranty date on the R10, and with no way to install new firmware since the ??programmed? warranty date presently in the receiver is like 2014 there abouts. I contacted the dealer, and all he will do is tell me to bring the R10 in, and his tech will make the date change. He refuses to try to tell me how to do it, and it is a 100 mile drive to the store. Also, it is completely all the way on the far side of a large city, and at my age I have no desire to attempt to make the drive. I also can not ship the receiver to the dealer as we use this R10 daily, and it would stop work on some projects. I have spent many minutes doing google searches, and have been unable to find any information on how to change the warranty dates in the R10.)

@i-ben-havin Fantastic. If you spend much more time in the Trimble world, you may see a lot of WinFlash.

It even has secret modes, paths and options.

Thanks for the follow-up, I suspect that someone else (from the future, in the future) will find this thread and benefit from your experience.
