This is posted on the INDOT FAQ page for their public RTK service:

...As of April 5, 2013 the base reference frame for the stations is NAD83(2011) Epoch 2010.0. Prior to that date and time the base reference frame was NAD83(CORS96) Epoch 2002.0.....TRIMBLE’s statement: When using the INDOT INCORS network for RTK work each job should be setup as “NAD83”, do not select “NAD83(2011)”....

My questions is why?

The NAD 83(2011) Trimble option transforms itrf positions to NAD83(2011), and they don't need transformed.

Ah...the "Double Moldensky", I remember it as well as other failed dance songs from the '90s such as:

Good! There it is!

Gammon-eyed Joe

Stake the dinosaur

Don't go chasing 7 parameter projections (by TBC)

Achy Breaky RTK (Kent's fave)

You can't monitor this

And many more...

Ah! Perfect explanation.

gschrock, another question: On an RTN network, what is a rover receiving from the network for correction? Delta lat, long, height? Delta x, y, z? Data on signal error so that the rover/dc can compute correction?

And...what information is the RTN server receiving from the rover/DC?

My question is rooted in this curiosity:
If the rover says trying to get to NAD83(2011) and the server send corrections to get there, why would the rover correct for the ellipsoid offset again?
