I have looked all over the interwebs and I cannot find anything published by Topcon that specifies what signals the GR-5 can track. Does anyone have some official documentation from a purchase, etc?

I was at first sure that the answer was "all in view" but the lack of readily apparent information now has me rather suspicious.

Thanks Paul. I guess I should have been more clear. I saw that as well, but given your current status updates on L2C I was more concerned with it and L5.

I don't know of any reasons they wouldn't track it, but every other brand that I quickly searched says that they will up front and center...

Good Point, L2C & L5 Conspicuous By Absence

One thing you can be sure of, if it is in there, it will cost extra to turn it on.

And as you know there is a further difference between tracking and usage in a solution. Much like the early days of GLONASS. Several brands would use them to help solve the integer ambiguity then kick them out of the solution because of the inter-channel bias and the signal's inherent "noise".

I cannot fathom why any manufacturer wouldn't be waiting with bated breath for the chance to start using them in a solution. Except for R&D cost?

That is a sales pitch, "ready for Bedouin and Bamboo" and whatever else coming up on the radar of the technology screen. When the future is up, running and reliable, you can sell me your salad again, Joe.

Definitive Answer

According to the operators manual on the TotalCare site it tracks all signals. Galileo is an option.
