@robertusa I live in Australia. Here we have got GDA2020 which is pretty new and it superseded GDA94.?ÿ
Setting up over a known geodetic point as the base station is very common and actually is requirement for some government organization's survey practices. One of them is our regular client so we have always stuck with it.?ÿ
By the way, we don't use a dummy coordinate system in the project. The marks would be in GDA2020 or 94 and brought in by extensive static network or terrestrial observation beforehand.?ÿ
The job I'm going to is for a local developer so I can choose any method I want really. That's why I was asking for such alternate method.?ÿ
