Mark, thanks, I guess I just need to figure out a few things then since I have the same satellite communications device in the truck already! My big issue is getting WiFi to Ethernet and I bought a TP-Link portable router for that task, BUT so far not working, I was hoping to be able to pass the WiFi through that to an ethernet cable and connect the cable as input to my Intuicom?ÿbridge and then broadcast out to my GPS receiver over 900Mhz radios.

I think as soon as I figure out how to configure the router to pass the data through to the Ethernet port it will all work and can do exactly what Leon is doing.

I have done quite a bit of research on satellite voice/data and used the GlobalStar network from around 2004/5 until 2016 when I switched to the Inmarsat?ÿnetwork. I use this as emergency communications and internet in middle of nowhere USA. There are three choices for satellite communications in the USA, in addition to the two I mentioned there is Iridium?ÿ. None are compatible with each other, so hardware needs to be purchased for each network and you are looking at a few hundred dollars+. There are terminals similar to the ISavi that work on the Inmarsat?ÿnetwork that do have a tracking antenna, but cost a few thousand more.

Inmarsat is a geostationary system, the other two are not, pluses and minuses to each I suppose. At higher latitudes Inmarsat is less user friendly as the satellites are parked over the equator, BUT by far has the fastest data, actually useful for e-mail and web browsing if your wallet can stand the cost. I buy a very minimal data plan yearly for $240.
