My Team is running a couple r12i's on a project and utilizing our civil teams Topcon base station. They are trying to re-calibrate the site by opening a new project in Access but keep receiving coordinate error messages. What could cause this issue? They believe it could be the base station but we have never had this issue in the past.?ÿ
As rover83 says a little more detail please
Are we talking making a new job in the existing project, or a new job in a new project?
But at a first guess
Check that both jobs are on the same co-ordinate system. That's on the job properties page.
By default a new job gets the default properties to the controller - which might not be what the old one uses
@jimcox ?ÿThey have started a new project but sounds like the data collector is still recognizing the base location of the other project. I'm trying to avoid them deleting the previous project but I not sure if something else can be done.
Is it this message by any chance?
If so, there is no need to delete anything...this means that the crew probably started the current job using their old job as a template/reference, and there happens to be a point coming in from the old job that was named the same as the current base point, but has different geodetic coordinates.
All the crew has to do is either delete the point that came in from the old job, or simply select "received" to use the coordinates that the base was set up to broadcast, which are presumably the correct ones.
That's only a guess, without knowing exactly what message is popping up.
Don??t know if this helps or not. ?ÿBut when we had our Trimble vrs topcon users getting corrections from Trimble had a issue. I can??t remember the exact settings but it had a term like when choosing the datum of wgs84 no trans instead of wgs84 then nad83 state plane etc. this was older equipment now and we did a base rover and it was almost identical. ?ÿSo this is reverse of that. ?ÿNow Trimble is on rover end for your application. ?ÿ
But Rover83 seems to be onto something that makes more since in this situation. ?ÿ Hope you get er fixed. ?ÿ?ÿ
