We have a permanent Trimble NetR5 base station on site that has always run like a champ. We had a power outage this morning, and after the power came back I went to reboot the router and receiver for the heck of it. (And yes, everything was hooked up to a battery backup and surge suppressor.)

Though the NetR5 shows the normal 'logging satellites' screen, it doesn't seem to be working right. A check of the receiver online shows zero satellites being tracked. I rebooted several times to no avail.

Any ideas on what could be going on here? Thanks.

I'm not very familiar with the Net R5 - can you tell by looking at the display if it's tracking satellites? Does it display signal to noise ratios? It doesn't appear that GPS Configurator connects to it; does it have a web GUI that you can connect to?

If it was a storm that made the power go out the first thing I'd check is my antenna, antenna cable, and the lightning arrestor and ground strap that you (hopefully) have installed on your antenna cabling.

Have you tried resetting (not just power cycling) the receiver?
