Looking at possible purchase of new Leica GNSS gear. Debating between CS20 and CS35 for controller. It seem around here most new sales are the CS20, looking for feedback on anyone who has time using the CS35 or better yet those who have both and can give the highs and lows of each. More real estate of the CS35 is attractive if it isn't too much and I like WIN10 vs WIN CE on the CS20 which is basically an EOL OS. Putting the popcorn on and will check back.

Are you working in an environment where the touchscreen is going to work as reliably as keys?
Prior touchscreen limitations (unreliable function in rain and snow) took the CS35 off the list for us -?ÿ maybe it's not an issue with the current generation of touchscreens. We do like the CS20s (the built in disto and camera are handy).
@jkinak valid points. Because of the type of work we do, it may not be as much of an issue because typically we aren't slogging through the brush or in much weather, but definitely something to think about and I appreciate the input.

If the screen on the ToughPad is the same as the ToughBook then rain or snow is not big deal.?ÿ We used a ToughBook to run our geometry trolley on a light rail viaduct through an entire Seattle winter without incident or issue of not being able to use the screen.?ÿ On that note, rarely use the keyboard on the CS20 for anything than entering text.
I use a 7" Panasonic fz-b2 to run geomax TPS and gnss and have been happy with rain mode. Window version of same unit is what Lecia sell with icon range as the bracket the dealer (they do Lecia and geomax) supplied attests to.

I no longer print plans to take in field just load them on tablet.
