Hi,there
My RTK GPS was a trimble BD970 board,I'm trying to connect it with PC by using WinFlash,an It keeps telling me
"Device failure![801] - No response on Com1"
I was using GPS's port 2 to connect COM1 port on my PC,tried a few times,Sometimes it will show 702 error
instead of 801 error which is "Can not Connect please check your power and cable balabalabal...".
So I dig it by using serial port debug tool and noticed that this port 2 was using 19200 baud rate to output a lot of unuseful data which may cause communicate blocked. Here is the data sample:

FF FF FF FF FE FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FE FE FF FF FF FE FF FF FF FE FE FE FF FF FF FF FE FF FE FE FE FF FF FE FF FF FE FF FE FE FF FF FE FE FF FF FF FF FE FF FE FE FE FE FF FE FE FE FE FC FC FE FE FE FC FC FE FC FE FC FC FE FC F8 FC FC FC FC F8 FC F8 F8 FC FC F8 F8 FC FC FC F8 FC F8 F0 C0 C0 C0 C0 00 00 F8 00 FF 00 A0 C0 F8 F0 F8 F0 F8 F8 F8 FC F8 FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FE FC FE FE FE FC FE FE FE FC FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FF FE FE FE FE FF FF FE FE FE FF FE FE FF FE FF FF FE FE FF FE FF FF FF FE FF FF FE FF FF FF FE FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FE FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF

I didn't seen these data have a pattern. And it's weird that since these data starting output,it will immediate working when I reboot the GPS,I thought it will pause for a while but it's not.
I didn't change any system config since I bought this rtk gps,so I really confused for what happened.
Looking for advice and btw,Thanks for your time.

What kind of equipment is it?

Typically you have to send the head some magic command to connect the serial cable directly to the BD970.

For example, on CHC equipment the command is "ST,B1". Once you issue that command you can have your way with the BD970 using winflash or configuration toolbox.

I didn't seen a way to do this, the output floods was too fast and ignored everything i input.
