The "I" option in Ashtech receivers could have been used to initiate the "RAIM" functions ..... (see the DG14 manual, ie, for details)

OR.......was used for "instant RTK".....

Z Extreme receivers and ZX Sensors had instant RTK ....

Z Surveyor receivers COULD have had the "I" option for instant RTK as an UPgrade...

Question: How do I know if a ZSurveyor "I" option was for RTK versus RAIM?

An old fogie wants to remember but can't?

I am not familiar with some of what you are saying but as for finding out which options a Z has...... when you power up the Z-Surveyor wakes in the Sysinfo menu screen. Hold down the right arrow button until the screen changes then use the up arrow button to scroll to the Options screen. My manual does not mention an I option but says B=RTCM differential base, U=RTCM differential rover, E=Event marker, X=External Frequency, M=Remote monitor option, F=Fast data output, T=Point positioning, 1,2,3=observables, J=RTK rover, K=RTK base.

Because these receivers underwent continual changes while they were supported, this information may not be up to date but I hope it helps you out.
