For those who wanted pictures.
These 2 items were donated to the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon scholarship auction. Other items are a gunters chain, another old level similar to the Gurley but a no name brand, and a Bostom's No. 2 level.
Sure they need cleaned up but that is the fun of owning them.
Don't clean them.
Part of the value is in the patina, and the marks left by the hands that have used the gear.
How would one place a bid?:-P
If it's an online auction, please post a link, I would like to follow the auctions. 🙂
These will be auctioned at the PLSO (Oregon) Conference in March. I suppose if you wanted to bid on them you would either have to attend the conference or find someone who will be attending and use them as a go between (there are a few people on this forum who will be there). I will post here after the conference and let you know what they go for.
