I can pay you $700.00 alfgar80017@gmail.com
I gather over there Nikon isn't highly favoured, but that doesn't diminish their worth.
But it needs to be in an area where it can be serviced by a reputable Nikon dealer.
I would never send my Nikon to any old instrument repair shop, just as you wouldn't send a Ferrari or a Maserati to any old garage.
Quick Google gave this
http://all-surveying.com/products/Nikon-DTM-522.html
And whatever this means

Nikon has always proven to be a great instrument with suburb optics.
Their popularity is everlasting.
Never been a fan of the handle battery.
My belief is that any properly cared for TS can allow a student or probie IMen or newly commissioned Solo Surveyors to prove themselves and earn their futuristic equipment with an affordable beginning.
