This looks like a good time (thanks Shawn) to sell more of the surveying equipment for the family of a late surveyor/dear friend of mine.
Kern DKM2 Theodolite
We would like to sell this Kern DKM2 for $600 - there is only one. Comes with the metal case that needs a leather strap handle. The micrometer is legible (upper and middle good, lower bad) but needs a good cleaning to be usable.
Kern NK3 Level
This Kern NK-3 level is still for sale for $300 - there is only one
Wasn't someone looking for this last week?
Wild hard case for a bullet case - please note the crack beside the latch. It doesn't seem to affect the closing of the case or compromise it's function. We are asking $50 for the case - not a perfect item, but like the rest of this equipment, we hope it finds a good home.
As before, final price will include a shipping, packing fee and insurance fee that I will have to have figured based upon where it has to be sent. And as before, all stuff can be returned if you will pay shipping back.
Thanks for looking - soon I will be listing some tapes, plumb bobs, an HP 71 calculator, Aqua dip needles, etc. I have also found some old pipeline maps, brochures and other paperwork from across the nation that I will want to send to folks in those areas that might like to have them.
Please contact me at my email address in my profile only. And please, if you say you want to buy something, please mean it. I trust Beerleggers on their word and will take your personal check, but I am still holding stuff for folks from the last listing. Thanks again Wendell and Angel for providing this category and site.
Looks like I have a couple of buyers for the DKM2, NK3 and Wild hardcase. Thanks again to everyone for looking. I may be seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.
I'm buying the DKM2.
I'm schyched! I used K&E or Dietzgen transits for about a decade, Japanese optical guns for about the same and then total stations. I did use a Wild T2 for about 6 months, I think.
I'm not familiar with the tripod connection.
Can it / should it be converted to wild style tribach?
Can I get a tripod?
If anyone has a suggestion I would love to hear.
In the 70's you could get them with either type of base so a conversion could be made if you find the right pieces, but I would look for a good Kern tripod were it me. I seem to remember that adapters from Kern to Wild and from Wild to Kern were advertized but never saw either one and I think they were after market adapters, not factory, don't remember who made them.
