Is that a currently functional (sans the out of date radios) RTK system? That is, if taken to a place where the radios are legal, will it work as it is now?

Thanks

N

Those Would Be Ashtech Z-XIIs

Those are older high power units. The newer low power units are much more desirable.

I did not see battery chargers. One battery does not get you too far into the day.

Because of the weight, they are not so desirable as RTK units, but are still solid static receivers. As such a buyer would be interested in how much internal memory they have? 1Mb would only get short occupations unless you were only doing OPUS 30 second observations. 3Mb is much more useable and 10Mb or more is desirable. I have a mix of each.

You say you are including the software, which could be downloaded for free, it is the L2 dongle that has the value.

It appears you have only one Pelican case. I prefer to transport mine in the Pelican cases.

Hard to tell what's what with 3 of the 4 images upside down! Is there a receiver in there somewhere?

If I'm reading the listing correctly, the sale includes only one receiver and antenna. The receiver is capable of being either base or rover.

My previous office used a beat up z12 unit as a base station whenever we have GPS data observation in the field that is within 20km. Serves as a permanent base station.
We placed the antenna unit on the office roof deck permanently. The antenna cable was routed through to an old win2k PC running the datalogger.exe software that collects
data continuously and saves this in the PC hard drive.
The receiver is powered by a 12DC converter so no problem with the batteries.

Quite reliable & gives very accurate data.

Yes everything is fully functional has the option for base or rover installed. I have not used the radios in a while but, they both worked last time I did. I can look for the battery charger I think I have it somewhere not sure about the battery condition though. I most recently used this unit for static observations I have a cable setup to use a deep cycle marine battery for power. I have a ton of extras for this unit antenna cables, radio cables ect. I can email more details and better photos if anyone is interested email in my profile is good.

Yes this is one receiver, one antenna , one base radio and one rover radio with one pellican case. I think I can find the dongle for software on one of my old computers.
