I started a construction project the other day, and the job superintendant asked me if I had the OSHA 10 hour card, and first aid training.

I found the 10 hour OSHA Construction Certificate is available from Red Vector. I am now looking for the first aid training. I have seen several on-line training classes. Some of them say they are OSHA Certified, and I have seen other site that say that OSHA doesn't recognize any online first aid training.

Does anyone have any advice or experience in this? I don't mind doing either class, I just want to make sure that I am doing it correctly the first time.

Thanks in advance,
Jimmy

I did the click safety program and liked it. As far as first aid/cpr goes usually your local Red Cross or fire station puts those on for free once a month

I have both. ClickSafety has the 10 hr OSHA General Industry online. Your local Red Cross office will offer the First Aid/CPR class. It takes about 8 hours and many of them offer it on a Saturday.

Found this on the OSHA web site. Seems to confirm American Red Cross and other organizations are the place to go for the first aid training.
