You can find YouTube videos for any kind of AutoCAD--Civil 3D, Vanilla, Revit, Map. I've been hitting the SketchUp videos, learning about it. Next up, I'd like to scour around to learn about Carlson software, which I've never tried.

Penn Foster (pennfoster.edu) Probably The Best

Penn Foster was previously International Correspondance Schools. They switched the name with the move on line in 2003. They have been training in trades since 1891.

http://www.pennfoster.edu/category-engineering.html

They have trained more than 3,000,000 people.

It depends on what you are really wanting to do. If you are talking the basics, Drafting 101, then you really need to hit a local community college or vocational education center.
Getting the basics and really underatanding what you are doing will be almost impossible online or "mail order". I've done 2 training courses with ICS, but that was after 2 years in high school and 2 years in college. Those classes were for "upgrade and touch up" in specific areras.
If you are looking for specific training on AutoCAD or Carlson, then there are several training movies that will really help get you started. Plus Carlson has its Carlson College set up that is pretty good.
Overall, classroom, eye to eye, training is superior. Most om line classes leave too many holes, unless it is a true interactive internet training site. Several community colleges offer those.

Cant't go to a Tupelo, MS, community college for Drafting and Design Technology or for the Surveying Option, either. Academic administration pushed the Career Technical program out in favor of academic pre-Bachelor program emphasis. That very unwise move will prevent people like you from easily obtaining workforce development skills or an Associates Degree that are much needed by those in the industry. Technicians and surveyors either need initial training or an upgrade to existing skills. Finding qualified instructors nearby will not be easy.

Good luck. I hope your state thinks more highly of the construction industry than mine does. I am now practicing what I taught in my solo business.

Hinds Community College has a very good AA program. Jeff Lewis is teaching the survey field class and he knows his stuff. The survey drafting class is said to be top notch.
AND if you want to change careers, they have one of the few drone pilot trainning facilities out there. B-)

Hmmmmm! I did get my private pilot's license years ago! However, I have never spent much time with video games. I would imagine that knowledge would come in very handy for a participant in that program!:-D

I have met Jeff Lewis. I hope the program remains and he does well.
