Hi,?ÿ
Anyone attending? I'm going on Tuesday and Thursday.?ÿ
Greetings
I will be there all three days. I will IM you my cell number and we can meet for lunch one day.?ÿ
I am looking forward to another great show with lots of excellent food and beer:
I promise to be on my best behavior...
What hall and booth are you in Mark? I'll be hanging around the Javad booth for a while.?ÿ
It is a small world, look who I found wandering around the Messe. Mr Billings
And Beuckie:
Lieven and I had a very interesting conversation about monuments, plats, corner records, precidence (coordinates at top of list in Belgium, higher than monuments). If I had know Shawn was in the building I am sure we could have tapped a keg and talked longer.
?ÿ
I will go there on wednesday and thursday. My arrival will not be as far?ÿ as yours, just 250km.
Wish you all a good time at Intergeo. And remember the beer in Frankfurt is something special...
Frankfurt/Hesse is famous and well known for their cider (hessian/native 🙂 : "Ebbelwoi", german: "Apfelwein")
They often got "Binding Beer" but i don??t like this that much. But if they serve it on Leica/Trimble/Topcon party on Wednesday evening i might drink one or two or three anyway ? .

@mark-silver thanks for the chat and lunch ? How everything works on the other side of the ocean makes me happy to survey over here!
There was a lot to see but a lot of chinese vendors with components, surveying accessories and drones. Not much of interest to me.
I passed by Riegl, Z&F, Sokkia, Topodot, Cleardege, Pointcab, Luposcan, Pythagoras, Javad and Scantra. I had specific questions for Carlson but their boot was a mess, a demo for survce was outside but no one was bothered to give some info. Very dissapointing.?ÿ
I was thinking how much easier it is here. ??ÿ
I took a couple of booth pictures this year and on the second one was chased down and asked to delete the picture from my phone.
Was informed that I need written permission from every person in the picture to post in social media.
So no comprehensive set of pictures this year.
It snowed at my house in salt lake a few days ago, but the flakes all melted.
?ÿ
That's gdpr. A load of nonsens but we have to deal with it.?ÿ
Did I give you permission to post my Pic here Marc? :-)?ÿ
No permission obtained. Sorry.
I am kind of surprised my previous, only slightly obscured snowflake statement made it past the 'no politics' filter here.
The inability to go to a public place, take a throw-away tourist picture and post it on Instagram or here is mind boggling.?ÿ
Next thing you know, your phone camera will have a geofence on it, just like my drone. Perhaps all of the faces will automatically be blurred if you are not at home?
I think that instead of getting permission from everyone to post, those who don't want thier picture taken should wear a special hat with a barcode on it that cameras will automatically replace with?ÿ ? icon.?ÿ
How do they report the news there?
Anyway, nothing to see here. Continue on.

When you get thrown in the German prison and the other inmates ask what you are in for you can say "I took a picture of a crowd of people without their permission".?ÿ They will nod and all give the new bad man a wide berth.?ÿ?ÿ
