Im studying for my California PLS exam this April and was going through the board published 2005 exam. It is a great exam, that I find is well written and covers a great array of survey topics. Some questions may be directly related to a California issue but most cases presented in the questions could happen in any jurisdiction across the US. Im sure many have already taken a look at it from different posts over the years, but if not here it is.

2005 CALI PLS Exam

2004 exam question 4 only

There are no answers from the Board and I haven't gone through and completed every question yet but maybe when I do I should post my answers so everyone can have a great debate!!;-)

I used some pre 2004 California exams to prep for my NY test, they were by far the toughest questions I encountered, from both a Math and legal perspective.

I get butterflies looking at that stuff. I am glad I do not need to take it again. It was one of the toughest tests I had to prepare for, and (not sure if one can use it now) I had to know that HP48 like the back of my hand to do the math on those big problems in enough time.

appropriate state plan coordinate system

I'd get this question wrong; I've never heard of state plan coordinates.
Sorry couldn't help myself;-)

But maybe that's what it's called in Cali.
