From the 2nd to the 5th of May Christchurch New Zealand is hosting the "FIG Working Week" conference ( details here )
I've had a close look at the programme, and there is not much that appears to be of value for the Joe Average working surveyor like myself.
I'm figuring it mostly as a talk-fest and CPD points junket.
But I was wondering if anyone here is planning to attend?
I will likely be going. I usually go to the working week, but I did not go last year.

My wife Gwen and I will be attending. Should be some interesting talks. We'll be visiting Melbourne area to tour a bit before the conference.
We're looking forward to visiting Christchurch again as our last trip was before the "BIG ONE".
We also live in earthquake country, but not so much liquefaction as you had, but a lot of shaking sometimes.
