and humidity at 10%!!!! I just can't wait for the fires today!!!!! I wonder if I'm delirious from the heat or lack of sleep!!!
Now, it looks like we have some dumb SOB running around last night with a box of Ohio blue tip matches striking these things.
Damn we need some rain BAD!!!!!!!
James and Alan, be careful out there today!
We were at 100 yesterday. Today, too, according to the weather gurus. There's supposed to be some imported air rolling down the plains this evening.
Maybe that means some liquid shade. Hope it makes it down to you guys.
ps - yes..the heat will eventually make you crazy...really.
Wish we could send down some cool weather. Actually, it's 11 AM and almost up to 70 degrees, so I'm gonna take a cruise on my motorcycle. Looks like the last warm day for a while here in New Hampster.
call me crazy, but i'm tickled to get a couple of days in a row of 100°+ just so we can break the record of the number of 100°+ days. who wants to go through so much BS and get so close w/out breaking the record. that would be like running a marathon and getting beat by 0.1 seconds.
Frank
While I too am an over-achiever, after this summer, I lost interest after shattering the record of 100+ days by 10 (even though it's well past that now), the record number of 105+ days (by more than 10), and setting the record for the hottest summer on record with an average 3-month temp of 90.2 or something.
Something's got to give.
Kris
i hear ya.
hopefully the "cold" front coming through this weekend will bring some relief.
y'all stay safe down there on the fires.
I am at 99? today and 15% humidity. Not quite as bad. Weather says the heat index is 95?.
Try summer in West Texas and Eastern NM or the desert in So Cal. Less humidity than Rusk, but a lot more heat. It can get brutal and will make you appreciate how much better you have it there even on a nasty year like this one.:coffee:
😛
I loved late spring and early fall in the NE when I was in CT. Weather was gorgeous unless an odd front came through. The fall colors were really good too.
We are currently at 98 with only 18 percent humidity so it only feels like 98. We should be done with that foolishness already. Predicted high for Thursday is 65.
I have seen too much heat this summer, today another 105°F and a bold breeze that felt like a furnace. Maybe they call it La Nina or El Nino or something near that. I don't want no more of whatever it is.
I am already working in a purgatory part of this area on a good day and the combined heat and chicken ranch atmosphere makes my eyes red and burn in todays allergy central.
