I love Spring. I was thinking about working in the flower beds and pruning the Rose of Sharon bushes. Maybe then de-thatching the lawn or running the Wife's Jeep up to the carwash.

If it wasn't too hot later I might drag motorcycles out of the garage and see who needs a new battery and a rubdown.

And then I woke up...

It was twelve above and dropping. A 25 mph north wind was driving razor sharp ice pellets in a horizontal direction. As far as I can tell the sun had spun out of the solar system leaving us to die and freeze dry. Future archeologists will marvel at the fact the Bic lighter in my pocket still works....

I love Spring... :bored:

I love Spring, too. Or, at least until those *%%$&^%$# chiggers reappear and everything leafs out to where we can't see diddly that we could have seen just last week.

We have now hit our predicted daytime high of 10 with a wind chill of -9 based on 20 MPH winds from ten degrees east of north, gusting to 24 MPH. Overnight low is scheduled to be -4 with a wind chill somewhere in the negative double digits. Time to head out to entertain the livestock. Slippery is the word most associated with cold today. Hope to return in one piece with no major black and blue spots.

I have been charging batteries and planning a GPS week before the leaves return.

It has gone from short sleeve yard work to 36?F to standing water and full ditches with sleet and ice 10 miles to the west.

That will turn many occupations into remote occupations.

Where is that hedgehog today.....

“or running the Wife's Jeep up to the carwash.”

Ummm Hmmmm… You old fart, get off your haunches and wash it yourself. If Penny was my wife I would I certainly would. Then you can resume your erotic fantasies with your two wheeled mistress. 😉
