Many would disagree with the emphasized premise.
The best answer I've heard, though, goes like this: Boring man A turns to man B at a cocktail party and asks, "So, what do you do?" Man B looks over his shoulder, then leans over and whispers "You mean for fun or for money?"
It would be nice if I figured out who I am before I die.
I really like the saying "I may grow old, but I don't have to grow up."

I'm a historian, tracing deeds as far back as the records go.
I'm a puzzle solver, trying to fit "jigsaws" that have pieces that don't fit or are missing.
I'm a trailblazer, cutting line through briers and swamps.
I'm a mind reader, placing the lines dividing the inheritance where everyone gets the piece they wanted.
I'm a magician, making that 35 acre parcel into 40 acres like "Daddy" told the client it was.
I'm a negotiator,?ÿ getting adjoiners to agree to the location of the line that they BOTH KNOW is wrong.

I am a magician that is setting around waiting for an engineer to call and tell me what to do.?ÿ I never have anything on schedule for tomorrow. I also have to ability to complete any project under a budget that was prepared by someone else. And I love to drive across the State, or into the neighboring State to locate that manhole and get the invert for you, especially since, I have nothing else on schedule for that day, all while being mindful of my windshield time I charge.?ÿ
