Some companies employ night watchpersons.?ÿ We have a local place that repairs antique clocks, and maybe watches (I haven't checked).?ÿ I think there is one shoe and leather repair shop in our little metro area.
There are a few, I will agree.?ÿ But, not nearly the employment opportunities that once existed.
There may be more toll roads but fewer humans working as the toll collectors.?ÿ Over 45 years ago when driving around Chicago, I would take a box with dimes in it along to be prepared to slow down just enough to toss the correct number of them into the funnel before roaring off towards the next one.
