It looks like there's only about two inches of snow in the area. Normally by now it would be measured in feet. Maybe global warming really does exist.
From yesterday and today. Four days prior to summer!
Admittedly this is at Great Lake which is one of the coldest parts of Tasmania but still unusual.
Wow!
We are expecting our first ice storm of the season overnight. It was in the mid 60's F earlier but expecting an overnight low around 30 F. High tomorrow is to be about 33 F.
Maybe so. With peak oil we should have run out of gas by now. What happened there?
Global warming - more rain, less snow, move further away from the equator and uphill from the coast. My 120 day growing season maybe expands to 150 days, but with less snow pack might not have snow melt to irrigate with but maybe it will rain more. Might need to switch to Burmuda grass from the Kentucky Blue for the lawn. I'm adaptable but more likely I'll be dead by the time it really gets going.
It must be tough for everyone who decides on whether global warming exists or not based on nice days or snowy days. I mean it must be a real emotional roller coaster. We just had a 1-å?' dump and I had to don my jacket. So much for Global Warming! 😉
You can put me with the crowd labeling the GW phenomena as a bunch of hooey.
We all know the real problem is the body heat from an exponentially growing world population.
Yeah, NOW you say that.....but wait 'till it gets warm out; then you'll be changing your tune.
We need a lot more data; the planet has been around for what, 6,000,000 years? And science is basing their conclusions on the last couple hundred years of data?
There's no doubt in my mind that the planet's climate is changing; just what that means, remains to be seen.
We've just had four years in a row of drought, longest in my lifetime. I'm starting to wonder if GW is real. By beef is it is not CO2 at the base of it, it is more people making more CO2. How you going to reduce that? Who gets to say who stays and who goes? Conservation, all that does is prolong the situation, it's not a long term cure.
My approach to what the problem is and implication of how to solve it flies like a led balloon. I'm looking at doing my part in about 20 years and checking out.
