How did yesterday go? No word yet from either of you.
I didn't make it. 😉
It went fine, I think. I only remember preparing for the procedure and then right after. They must have given me some really good stuff!
Anyway, no complications apparently, as I don't have any of the symptoms they said I'd have if things had gone awry. The doctor talked to my wife afterward and gave her a brief synopsis but the full results will be in about 3 business days.
For those not in the know, I had an upper endoscopy yesterday.
Thank you for asking! 🙂
Glad it went well Wendell. I didn't want to mention any specifics but just wanted to make sure all went well with you guys.
Thank you. 🙂
I'm just glad I don't remember the tube getting shoved down my throat.
Hmmm, I wonder if they would do the same thing in about 7 years when I have to have a colonoscopy... I really don't want to remember that.
glad to hear you are well. look on the bright side, it beats a cystoscopy. frightening
Hey, Wendell.
Let's see the pictures 😉 😉 😉
I just had a colonoscopy. What you just had is worse. Well, really similar. I remember before and I remember waking up. That's all.Up side is that afterwards you have a valid excuse for breaking wind. Really loud. Really often.Put the dog outside. No need to spread the blame.
> I remember before and I remember waking up. That's all.
Yeah, that's pretty much how it went for my procedure, thankfully.
I have some pictures. Are you really sure you want to see them?
He Was LOOPY as Hell!!
> It went fine, I think. I only remember preparing for the procedure and then right after. They must have given me some really good stuff!
He got some REAL good stuff!! When he came out I told him "You look stoned!" He goes "I feel stoned!" The funny part is he's never had a joint in his life!! 😛
He kept repeating things, forgetting things, walking funny, told me the walls we're taking a few seconds to catch up with him, etc... It was funny! I could understand his words just fine; he slurred a little but NOTHING like me when I was loopy and couldn't say anything right except the wood "FOOD" and he had a ball with it. (And here I thought I was going to get the chance to avenge myself! LOL!)
He's got a few "problems" but the doc gave him some new meds and we're waiting on biopsy results to see what to do from there. She gave me a paper with a bunch of different photographs on it of his innards. It's cool seeing the different "things"...But I am weird. 😉

I had no idea anything was wrong. My prayers are with you, Wendell and your family.

Thank you. He's OK for the most part. No cancers or lesions or polyps. Just gastrointestinal issues that means no more very acidic foods and a few other changes and possibly 1 more procedure to "stretch" his tube. She'll let us know after this next batch of meds. Wendell doesn't like to have you guys worry about him so he doesn't say much, if anything. It's his wife that is the blabbertyper. :-O
