The owner of our company was driving to work this morning. About a block from the office something impacted the driver's side door, flew through the open window into the cab, struck him in the head and deployed the side airbags. Upon further investigation it was found to be a helmeted bicyclist!
Said cyclist ran a stop sign at full speed and came to rest lying on the street. He went to the hospital by ambulance bleeding profusely, owner went home with huge contusion and head lacerations, and truck is probably totaled due to airbag deployment.
Brought back haunting memories for me, as barely 2 years ago I was stopped at a stop light when I was struck by a bicyclist with no brakes traveling at ±35 mph, smashing her face into my windshield right in front of me. $2,300 worth of damage to my vehicle. 23 months and two winning court decisions later I have not collected $0.01 of my deductible.
Watch out for those bicycles!!
If God had intended for us to run around on two wheels, he would have given us two wheels to run around on.
What about four wheels? I'm guessing cows don't drive, but..... 😛
