Windows 8:
Well I had to get another gadget today. Action started to say voice recognition for computer retraining experience. My old headset microphone stuff was pretty much shot out. So I went out and bought me new one.
For the most part, this entire message has not been written by fingers on the keyboard but instead be speaking directly into my new toy.

Of course, there'll be some learning issues between my voice and machine but that is to be expected.

Big E.

You can talk to the iPad too. It is pretty good at it as long as you are clear. If you mumble or run words together then it gets confused.

some works ok for general generic stuff. It doesn't handle technical very well and it can't get any names right Mrs. File, or the three young Files, or Cutest-grandbaby-in-the-world File.

I tried talking to my robot, but she just won't listen.....she just stares at me...
Solo work can be lonely as hell.

I heard Dan Brown ( Da Vinci Code) doesn't "write" his books but uses that technology to "speak" the book out.

I tried this stuff years ago(that "Dragon" software), and aside from "me", trying to learn to speak so the computer could understand me, my proofreading suffered terribly, cause I already knew(in my mind), what I wanted the typewritten words to say.

I really had to slow my proofreading down to somewhat ensure the final product was correct.

It just wasn't worth it.

I use it for texting.

I'm constantly apologizing for the weird remarks and crass language that it comes up with.

The funny thing is, that if you read it out loud, it sounds just like what I'm trying to say.

o.O
