This is a nasty virus that has been around in one form or another for several years. Just google it for removal instructions and programs.
Jerusalem virus ...
About 15-16 years ago, I used to write & sell geodetic and photogrammetric software in the olden days of MS-DOS. For the photogrammetric stuff, I used to advertise and offer "free demos" of my package. Well, one government agency called and asked for a demo, which I then sent.
Some weeks later, I got a phone call. The caller asked me to identify myself, which I did, and he then asked if I remembered sending a demo to a particular post office box in Langley, Virginia. I answered in the affirmative, and he then identified himself as the Computer Systems Security Administrator of the Central Intelligence Agency, and asked if I was aware that the demo I sent was infected with the Jerusalem Virus?
OOPS! I apologized, made another copy, made durn sure it was not infected, and sent the second copy.
They later bought a couple of licenses, and came to Louisiana for some training.
Viruses are pesky critters ...
