Speaking as a veteran, it would not offend me if the banks and post offices were open today... they sure didn't do me much good closed.

Had a Viet Nam vet work for me for nearly a year back about 15 years ago. His time there was spent out on point. How he survived is nothing short of a miracle. They didn't send him over until his older brother came back. A third brother was a drill sergeant, I think somewhere in Washington state. The youngest brother was spared as his number would have been drawn in 1974, too late for the hot seat. The first to go over came back and for some reason decided he would never shave again. He still hasn't shaved. The second one to go over spent many years as a police chief and county sheriff and later worked as a security guard. The drill sergeant worked as a high school mathematics instructor for several years before bailing out to focus on running a dairy.

Did he move to West Monroe, LA and start carving duck calls in a shed behind his house?
