I'm not one to make scary predictions, but the upcoming situation on the Missouri River is potentially going to be beyond anything mankind has ever seen on this river. The dams in the Dakotas are already at, or quickly approaching full capacity. More water is coming into them than can be released. Major flooding is already occurring all up and down the Missouri River from the amount of water being released from the dams and the major snow melt in the mountains has not yet occurred.

Here is one situation at Hamburg, Iowa:

We made a few trips through the Spillway, while traveling on I-10, and the force of the water in incredible.
It will be hard for those folks to do anything, if their levees fail, but evacuate.

My uncle in Bismark has had to evacuate, and my cousin had a 4' high sandbag levee around his house, last I heard.

re: Beartooth Pass MT & Medicine Wheel WY Pics

Looks like all that snow from Wyoming & Montana going to be flowing toward the Mississippi soon.
