Trouble

Last wk, my computer went down. Would not turn on.

So, I got a copy of OPEN SUSE from a friend. (That is a little operating system)

A computer will boot off the OPEN SUSE disk, in the CD bay. I used this to backup all my data.

Then, I re-installed windows 3 times. It still would not go online.

Finally, I took it to a computer repair fellow.

The LAN connection on the mother board was out. And, so was the little LAN card on the mother board.

So, he put another LAN card on the mother board, and charged me 65 bucks, and said I was good to go. (What a bargain!)

Re-install time.

I finally got Carlson up and running again, with the printer in MEXICAN or SPANISH (They look the same to me). Drove me NUTTTTY.

I finally got the right driver, and got the Mexican one deleted, and all my other stuff sort of running. I am right now at the same place I was SUPPOSED to be, last wk, on Monday Night.

Just a little chronicle, to remind you to backup your data, and to think outside the box, if windows crashes, and appears to be taking all your valuable files with it.

I think I am back.

I wish I had a nice new Kawasaki Versys, or KLR 650 for Christmas!

But, if you have any fruitcake, destined for the trash, I'll eat it! In fact, I'm in the mood for it!

O well, you cannot win them all!
