I am trying to add GEOID12a into Trimble Business Center 4.80. I successfully added it to my old PC but, I cannot get my new PC to recognize it. I added the GEOID file to “C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesTrimbleGeodata” and then added the file to TBC using the Trimble Coordinate System Manager. The Geoid file shows up in Trimble Coordinate System Manager but, when I create a new project the Geoid is not available to choose. I cannot edit an existing coordinate system to change the GEIOD any ideas?

I just tried in TBC 2.80. Worked for me in both new and existing projects. In existing, I was able to change the geoid to 12A in the: Project Settings --> Coordinate System --> Geoid Model --> Geoid model pulldown on right side --> select your flavor --> OK.

Disclaimer: I don't have very much experience with TGO/TBC yet, so there's a good chance I don't know what I'm talking about.

Any chance there are multiple instances of Coordinate System Manager installed on your machine? You may want to double check which *.csd file your Coordinate System Manager is looking at. Check the path under File>>Options. You can actually add files to the wrong *.csd if another one was installed w/ TGO. I believe the path you posted is the same one I updated & it worked.

Alternatively, I think if you run the "Check for Updates" directly through TBC, instead of manually adding the individual geoid file, it will update the *.csd that TBC is set to reference.
