Merry Christmas everybody. I would like to transfer my Static data to my PC using a bluetooth serial connection instead of using a cable. My windows PC with bluetooth finds the Hiper Lite and sees it as a SERIAL port. But it ask me for a password? Does anyone know the password for the hiperlite so that I dont have to use the serial cable anymore? It wont let you just hit enter without inputting one. I have tried 0000 and 1111. But I am tired of guessing. Any ideas?
Try using Topcon Receiver Utilities. Latest version 2.8 or 2.9
Should work smoothly Bluetooth of serial
I have run into this problem before. Some bluetooth drivers require authentication when pairing devices. Look at the properties of your bluetooth device settings on the PC. Turn off security. If you can NOT turn it off at the PC side, you will need add the password on the receiver to enable security. You can do this TRU, but need the cable connection.
BTW: Bluetooth transfer of large static files to your PC are extremely slow, compared to USB file transfers. It's almost NOT worth the effort, unless you have a cable failure.

I ended up putting a card in my computer for a serial port. I think it was less than $10. I had problems with the USB port not working well and the dealer we bought it from said just get a serial port for your computer as the easiest work around.
