Why is it that so many drivers drive in parking lots like they're on a highway?
Even many of the "slower" drivers drive like they're on a side street or something.
Now, PITTY me, if I'm stupid enough not to look, and I walk in front of one of these succcccars. I really should know better anyway.
BUT, what about kids . . . especially kids?
Even old crochety grandmas should learn to look.
BUT, what about kids?
Honest to Gawd. I don't care how good a driver you are . . . or think you are.
Every day I go ANYWHERE there are drivers driving like grade A aholes through the parking lots . . . ALWAYS A LARGE NUMBER OF IDIOTS driving like aholes.
If a kid runs from between tow cars, that child is "DEAD"(or badly injured), if he gets hit by these numerous . . . and I mean very numerous, idiots.
I would assume that anyone with a lick of sense knows that the danger is not the river's ability to drive as fast as he or she can . . . "safely"(?).
Even I can drive like a maniac(if I wanted), without bouncing constantly off of cars. It takes no special skill if nothing "goes wrong".
Nothing bothers me like slowly backing out of a parking space and nearly being hit by someone driving the wrong way up a one way lane. If you meet them head-on they look at you like you're supposed to get out of their way.
That's when the "Kathy Bates (ToWanda)" school of thought kicks in:
My wife and I watched a woman back out of a parking space, head down all the time, texting, and she never once looked as cars stopped rather than hit her. I bet her mind was miles away.

Great movie. B-) :good: :stakeout:
The simple solution is to move out far enough into the sticks that the biggest parking lot holds about four cars after all the employees occupy their usual spots.
:good:
I 100% agree.
Another one that bothers me in parking lots is the number of people who think that it is perfectly fine to zip across the spaces instead of going with the lanes as marked.
C'mon Jon...
