I didn't watch the game, I'm almost completely off professional sports.?ÿ I saw some replays on the TV this morning and it looked like a pretty good game though.?ÿ What REALLY got my attention though was the cost of the 8,000 seats.?ÿ They said the AVERAGE cost was $1,400 per seat.?ÿ I wonder what a hot dog and Coke cost.

Professional and collegiate sports have lost their attraction for me. Between doping scandals, ridiculous salaries, and the constant barrage of political BS by players, coaches, and announcers, they can all suck it. I'll spend my leisure time doing something that involves none of that.
@hi-staker you hit the nail on the head but I'll keep going, Formula 1 no longer has trophy girls, NASCAR doesn't allow Confederate flags or knotts, 1/2 time shows and ads suck.....No Country For Old Men....?ÿ
Happy Friday, Jp?ÿ
The most important, most critical, most valuable WA state employees are college coaches. Look it up. One might think no one cares who is coach when the teams cannot play because of COVID, but you would be absolutely incorrect.
Used to be for the love of the game, no media fanfare?ÿ ?????ÿ

Such hostility. That was a classic game. I watched it. I have read nothing but positive comments about it before reading this thread. I watch college and professional sports, and will continue to do so. I'm watching a baseball game right this moment, and I even tune in to the Little League World Series.
As a person of color, it always hurts my heart to read comments such as some of the above.
I checked in around the 7th inning, and being a former chitown western burbs brat watched it because I love it if the Yankees get beat by one of the Chitown teams. The end was absolutely amazing because they both got into their groove and the winner was one swing better.?ÿ Epitome of a great way to finish a game of baseball.
And I support that part too, the confederate flag is always offensive to me(and I'm whiter than snow) because it's the losers flag. Just like the swastika, should have been banned and put away....not being political, just factual. Letting a losing insurrection brandish the image and embodiment of their movement has been a huge underpinning of why we haven't moved past the sins of the past sooner, and my post will be deleted in 3....2....1......

@blitzkriegbob I read back through the comments and not one single person mentioned skin color until you. What comments "hurt my heart"? I'm not being facetious, I'd honestly like to know.
Well hopefully I can skip the obvious lamenting the inability to salute the confederate flag. I will go straight to your remark about the political BS. Of course I'm assuming you're not speaking about those about those truly suffering from cranial rectosis, such as Aubrey Huff, Herschel Walker, or Cole Beasley. You're probably annoyed by those using their platform to help bring light to the inequalities that still exist in our society, such as Lebron James, Megan Rapinoe, or Colin Kaepernick. I wonder why people get more upset with those bringing attention to the wrong rather than the wrong itself. I shouldn't be surprised though, since we have seen the same with those taking up the struggle previously, such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Medgar Evers, Cesar Chavez, et al.
If my assumption was wrong, then I truly apologize. However, even if that's not what you meant, I do hear that sentiment often. Way too often.
Wendell,
Please delete this post.?ÿ I didn't start it to cause friction or to start a political diatribe.
