Wendell and I went bowling tonight with some friends. It's been over a year since we've done any kind of bowling but you wouldn't know it by his score. Check it out!!!
Wendell throwing his forth strike in a row...
Ok, make that 6 in a row...
Well, here's his final score. So much for his sob story of "I'm going to do awful tonight!"
I guess it is safe to say my hubby still has "it". 😉 :hi5:
I'd have to add up two of my games to get that sort of score. Wendell is darned good. Did you have a gathering after the fifth and sixth strike? Bet the crowd was on it's feet.

Oh yea!! He did!! Even the manager of the alley was over by us, watching and then talking to him about joining a league.
Wendell always gets an audience when he gets past 4-5 strikes. Way back in 2003-2004 people in our league started gathering around when he got up to 8 in a row. Then nine in a row = the entire bowling alley went into a dead silence. 56 lanes of utter quiet. It was eery!!! Then 10 in a row = the guys from the pro shop, the front desk, the manager and the owner came down to watch. That also = a basket case wife!!! I think I was more nervous than he was!! Those two times he wound up with a 288 and a 289. He says it was just too quiet for him to bowl, plus he felt all eyes, staring at him. He got shy. :-$
I think the scores were switched.
😉
Somebody's mind was in the 'gutter' last night it seems.
What a stud!
I have been bowling for about a year now on Wednesday nights with some buddies.
No league, just beer & fun. It is an excellent release, something to look forward too every week.
My boys have been in a Saturday league for kids for a couple years now. Instead of trophies for all the kids, they EACH get a ball custom drilled for each kid & a bag their first year. We are hooked!

Well, I don't like to brag, but.... ok, well, maybe I do a little teeny bit. 😉
My old league average from 6 years ago was 213. 🙂
The scores last night were 197, 253 and 224. BUT... I only threw two shots the whole night that were actually right in the pocket where they're supposed to go. The others were all messy and pure luck, it could have happened to anyone. Most of them should have left 8 or less pins; but by some pure magic, some random pin(s) would fly out of nowhere and knock the remaining pins over.
