I just checked on my home and it's still standing but lots of broken everything. I pray everyone is okay. It shook so strong that it was difficult to stand. I thought my office building was about to collapse.?ÿ I'm certain a number of bridges are damaged and a good many people will have a difficult time making it home today. A not so subtle reminder that where I live is an active subduction zone. Preliminary reports are that it was a 6.7, but the epicenter was literally under my feet. A little reminder that only by the grace of God go I. Still have power and internet, so back to work, though shaken, not stirred.?ÿ
Ouch - how are the afteshocks?
Lots of little rollers. Enough to keep me on edge. It was like trying to stand on a trampoline with someone jumping on it.?ÿ
Glad to hear you're okay.?ÿ
I'm just grateful that you are okay!
That??s what she said.... ?ÿ( sorry- couldn??t resist). Glad you??re ok. I have several friends that fish up there in the summer who are concerned about others in the area.
Glad to hear that you are OK, my family moved to Anchorage not to many years after the 64 quake and the damage was still visible.?ÿ As a kid it was fairly awe inspiring to view.?ÿ It is good to hear that the earthquake resistant construction worked and that you are OK
Glad you're ok.?ÿ ?ÿalso heard from Daryl Moistner that he is in Anchorage and ok as well.?ÿ He was heading to Kodiak and said they evacuated there as well.?ÿ Looks like the tsunami warning has been cancelled.?ÿ?ÿ

Now all you need is a tornado. ?ÿI'll send you one for Christmas.
Glad your okay!
Christof.
Decided to call it a day. Now that it's past noon a nip of Wild Turkey seems in order. An early but rough start to the weekend.
Some of the pictures coming out show extensive damage to highways. Huge fissures and one car stranded on an Island of concrete with 10 foot wide gaps around it and sunken lower than the car is tall, very serious.?ÿ
Williwaw, glad you are okay. Many prayers for yall.
Aloha, Williwaw: I am so glad you are okay! Hopefully not too much clean up!!!

Thank you Yswami!?ÿWe got off quite easy in my opinion, but a?ÿvery humbling experience. I must say we were so very fortunate there was?ÿno loss?ÿof life.?ÿMost construction here is made of wood and steel which give and move with the shaking unlike the masonry, stone?ÿand concrete construction in places like Haiti or Nepal where there was tremendous loss of life. ?ÿThe frequent after shocks though are rather unsettling.?ÿ?ÿ
