I just added a picture for my avatar, and link to my website in my signature line.

I just learned how to do links in the body of my posts, and am playing around with it. It is supposed to increase your standing with Google. We'll see.

Here is an example:
I am a Professional Land Surveyor registered in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. The name of my company is Turning Point Land Surveys.

Be careful with that. If you overdo it, Google will view it as "link spam" and you could be penalized.

Thanks for the tip. I doubt I will get anywhere close to that limit. I only post to this Board and occasionally the other Board

What's the diff between RLS & PLS?

RLS=Registered Land Surveyor
PLS=Professional Land Surveyor

Tennessee uses the designation RLS
Arkansas and Mississippi use the designation PLS

I am licensed in all three states

PS in Arkansas...The Arkansas Legislature and the BOR took LAND out of our title.

now you'll be an RLS, PLS, PS - three states w/ three acronyms for the same licensed individual! Not railing on you Jimmy, but the differences from state to state - all this does is confuse the general public on our already tenuous profession. It would be nice to see the NCEES model law push for 'PS' to be adopted by all states actually followed thru - just sayin...
