Maybe it's just me, but I learn more in the time I spend here than talking to bankers, clients, my kids, or just opening my mail. Here we are at least on the same page.

We go from GPS to GIS to WGAS to pseudo politics all the way to some down right funny jokes. It's all good in my small world.

Thanks Wendell for hosting this site. Thanks leggers for keeping it alive.

PS - Go Red Wings (Roadie won't like that... ;-)...)

edit: I'm adding that some of Kent's artwork is up there on the top shelf IMO.

Don't mention my model rail road replete with surveying figures. I'm still on the fence about building a Bilby tower as has been suggested.
I think Kent sure has some work painting back drops if he wants it.

This is a really useful site (as was the old RPLS.com site).

Eric: I have a relative who's job was to paint Hollywood backdrops. Some of them are difficult to pick out as backdrops.

He painted the jaws shark in the first movie.

EDIT: It was good enough to scare me from deep water as a kid.

Can't resist this one Eric. I used to live behind the guy that ran this club. I even did the survey on the Kingman RR Depot improvements to make sure the water drained. All good, but I did have to get creative in the staking of said drainage improvements.

The end product is awesome, and the RR museum is equally awesome. Lots of history on Route 66 and it's kind of fun to be a bit on the back side and learn more.

dunno Dave. It's the Whistle Stop Railroad Club in Kingman, AZ. This is the link that I just copied:

www.whistlestoprailroadclub.org/

I'll work on the insert text stuff later. I just went to that site and it worked fine. It's mostly a bunch of geezers with grandkids that like to ride on small trains and it all turns out good. Even the dogs chase them and bark...
