Is this something fishy or am I being paranoid? Anyone else using AT&T email seen this?

I got a similar message this week, I think it is a phishing email trying to get your email and password info. If you look at the header of the email, you will probably see it is saying it is from earthlink support email, but if you look at the actual address it was sent from, it will have extra letters in the email address (ie support@earthlinkgg.net)
If in doubt, contact earthlink support directly, but I am pretty sure it is a scam and you should report it. And don't click on the link in the original email.
Surely a scam ...
The more I think about it, the more it looks like a phishing scam. Although it has all official AT&T logos and such (they didn't show up in the copy and pasting job), I don't think AT&T would be asking for the required info to be simply typed in a paragraph form.
Thanks for the replies.
Yes, it's phishing.
No reputable corporation will ever ask you to provide your username and/or password.
Scam...
Yup, definitely a scam. Phishing scam. Glad you did not fall for it!! 🙂
Lots of those types of scams being reported often to http://flakelist.org lately... Must be something in the air... :-/
Scam...
I've been filling out the form with imaginary data and sending it back. The names have included Goober Doofus, Ben Dover, etc. I figure I might as well get their hopes up that they've landed one. One clue to a scam is that no matter what phoney e-mail address and password I fill in, it is always accepted.
It's all crap.
Report it to the FBI.
They have a cyber crime unit.
Dont' hold your breath though.
I am on AT&T and don't get anything except montly billing notifications.
I did get one today that looked like something from gmail.
That was bogus as well.
a scam without suspension
Just glad that it did not come from the @#$%$#@ that hijacked my email account early this morning and sent out a mass mailing to everyone in my address book.
I feel your pain - the same thing happened to me a few months ago - I had to send out a mass email to all contacts to let them know I had been hacked.
All contacts include some clients - that was the most embarrassing part of the whole thing.
So I changed and strengthened all my passwords - I use pass-phrases now combined with a form of leetspeak - a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.
For example, the phrase "There is someone at the door."
Becomes "Th3r3_is_s0m30n3_@_th3_d00r."
Phrases tend to be easy to remember, and as long as you apply your translation correctly you won't forget the password. The previous example is also very strong - the only people who can crack it are Governments and possibly the hacker group Anonymous.
