THAT THE RANGERS WIN THE PENNANT,THE RANGERS WIN THE PENNANT,THE RANGERS WIN THE PENNANT!!!!!
I know very little about baseball, let alone the players. But I get the impression that A-Rod is an A-Hole.
When he do, or say?
As much as I dislike A-Rod, when he went to the Rangers, he said he wanted to be the highest paid professional athlete and the owner said you're hired.
I'd say it was a little bit arrogant, but then, when someone agrees to let you sit on the highest seat on the bandwagon, don't you want to ride there as long as you can?;-)

Yea and wasn't it fitting last night how it all ended?? A-Rod up...2 outs...and struck out by his former team, and that strike out being the last one the Rangers needed to clinch the series!! It's called KARMA.
I have to admit I did get a kick out of the fans booing him and also chanting "YANKEES SUCK" from time to time. 😉
I have a rod too, actually three rods.
A-rod
B-rod
and
C-rod
Smart alec, Dave!!! 😛

Yes sir, Its been a looooong TIME coming. TIME that spans generations. TIME that has seen the passing of 3 former Ranger managers, Billy Martin, Ted Williams, and Johnny Oates. I do not know how much TIME you have spent here, but maybe you know, 7:00 pm in mid July and August is not a very pleasant TIME to be sitting in a ball park here, yet TIME and TIME again the Ranger faithful are there, all in hope that maybe this TIME.
IT'S TIME!!! and I for one am happy to know that I am watching history being made.

Me too me too!!! I can remember when I was a kid and visiting there for my summers how HOT & HUMID it was but still the fans were loyal. Sweaty, but loyal. That's true fans. Just like my Cards. Superb fans!! And both teams are good sports. Rangers also got a freaking awesome catcher, eh Roadie?? 😉

Good for you Roadhand...you guys certainly deserve it...enjoy the moment..enjoy October baseball!!
Just For the Record
Although he had had some poor showings in the post season, the overall statistics are as follows:
54 post-season games
BA .302 (just .003 points off his career regular season BA),
HR 13 home-runs (every 15 AB)
RBIs 35
If those statistics were projected over a 162-game season, Rodriguez would hit nearly 40 home-runs, and amass 135 RBIs.
In last year's playoffs, he hit .365 with 6 home-runs in 52 at-bats.
This year....not so much. But then again, the Yankees as a team batted .201 and got only 19 runs in 6 games.
Pitching? Let's face it; the Yankees had a team ERA of 6.58 versus Texas' 3.06.
The biggest difference IMHO: Last year, the LF and DH (Damon and Matsui) hit almost .300, getting 15 runs, five homers and 21 RBIs in the postseason. Of course neither Damon nor Matsui are around anymore. This time, with Gardner and Thames, the left field and DH hit .220 average with five runs, two homers and nine RBIs.
A-hole? Maybe, but I'd still have him in my dugout any day.
