Worth the price of admission is "The White House Inn" on Route 9E in Wilmington.
12 years ago I passed it on the way to a BSA Exploring Rendezvous in New Hampshire. When I got back home I called them for reservations for our Anniversary, which is this week. All I told my wife was what to pack, not where we were going. As Route 9E topped a hill about a mile and half away my wife saw it and said, "Now, that would be a nice place to go." I waited before saying "Do you think so?" and turned into the driveway. August is a slow month, but come Fall Foilage and ski season the rates go up.
