Since they are so smart, how do you hook a Droid Phone to a computer monitor or TV?

Or can you?

They do everything else, why not this.

I don't own a smart phone, have no desire to, but here's a wild guess....

If you could connect to your computer or tv, you would not have to pay the exorbitant data fees for such things as pictures.......

Actually, it's quite easy with the droids. The HTC EVO will play video to the TV and do all sorts of pretty cool stuff. Just get the right USB cable, hook up and go. It'll treat your phone just like it does a jump drive. With the right software, you can sync contacts, emails, files, etc. Most of the software is free or cheap.

My WinMobile 6.5 HTC will perform similar feats, but has a little better luck syncing with Outlook and other computer programs.

Droid X came with a usb charging/computer cable.

It will actually charge connected to the computer or will connect to a hub that plugs into a wall socket.

There are accessory cables that have mini hdmi one end to connect to the phone and regular hdmi other end to connect to a tv. I don't know if the hdmi to rca converter plugs will work or not.

This is the 1st phone that did not come with a complete instruction manual and there is no link as to where to download one either, so I got the so called stupid questions quite regular as we have had the phone turned on for about a week.

My biggest problem is that I hoped that it would work with a stylus as my calloused fingers don't do touch screens that well and I can't develop that "touch" to pick what I want or flip thru the menus at ease.

We have Verizon and the Tech support people have always been very helpful, cause we are still learning the phone. They have always stayed on the phone to talk us thru any things we don't understand.

The Verizon music loader is a piece of c..p program that keeps shutting down and is made for a few songs at a time to be loaded. It will not let just any music be loaded. Just because you buy a cd don't think you can put the songs on your phone, it will not load unless it has the compact disc media cd logo on it. And then it is not always a guarantee it will work.

I hope somebody knows a better way to put music on one.
