This works great for putting up those 12 foot sheets of Drywall by yourself. Just pick the sheet up and set it on the horizontal board (like a painting on an easel). Then slide it up into position.
That is a must have for lifting sheetrock solo. I finished my basement office last year with sheetrock, but bought an 11' lift I found at Amazon on sale for $89. It has castor wheels on the feet and you can load the sheet vertically, then tip it flat and crank it up with a large crank wheel. the taping and mudding and sanding are a challenge.
i could have used one of those for my kitchen ceiling. a good friend came by on a saturday to help me get the panels set and screwed in place. the night before, he and i had succumbed to enough stout and irish whiskey to kill six men.
well, he had the last sheet in place, held overhead, and i farted , dropped the screw, and tried not to laugh. he just cussed me, never dropped the panel, though. it was a mean trick, but to this day we laugh about it.
