Out in the desert with thorny bushes, mesquite trees, and cholla I can tell you that I average 35' between shots on a 25' grid, on a good day. Around this branch, back on line, too far over, oops the other side of the tree, etc.

I have discovered that when I take my farm truck and go bouncing across rough pastures with it, my mileage goes up and the number of stories I have hiked gets plumb silly.
