Copy and paste of email. I suspect it is a scam. I responded to his email last week and it is back with the same basic email with poor syntax.

Perhaps this is from someone whose first language is not English.?ÿ Could be.?ÿ Might not be.?ÿ From what is presented here, this is not too far from some worthy client contacts we have had.

Many years ago a fellow from somewhere in Asia sent a letter to my boss thanking him for replying to a question of some significance.?ÿ The letter began with, "Thank you for responding to my ask."?ÿ Ask is a perfectly good replacement for question when used properly.

We get a lot of foreign investment in our area. It is often hard to know if something is legit without a phone call. For all the shade thrown on the USA, it is still where money goes when it wants to be stable and long term.?ÿ?ÿ

And when you agree to do the job they won't quibble about the price.?ÿ They will, however, ask you to send a retainer to their contractor/architect/designer which they will include in your retainer/deposit.?ÿ Yeah, right.

And they will also ask if you take credit cards, which of course will be invalid.

I think this topic was covered here once before.

@dms330

Funny you should mention that. I went back and looked the previous email and even though I had tagged it as a Phishing email it is very similar and and had the same name but a different email address.

I tagget this as yet another Phishing attempt.

Just got one of these. After about 3 emails the guy finally gets me a Tax Lot number to look at. I give him a price and I get back "..... and I also need a favor".

That clued me into this post right away. Over charge the credit card and send money to his architect!
