As we all get older I think we begin being a well know figure among health care professionals with more visits to the doc. Have had two surgeries in the last year, nothing major just puttin parts back together when I'm old enough to know and have nough sense to know "that's gonna hurt" when doing certain things! Anyway, I have a solo operation, don't advertise and have the greatest appreciative clients in the world. Never looking for work...Met up with my last surgery doc for a post op today and he discussed how "ugly" it was and how well I'm doin. I asked him about going back out workin and digging holes, climbing mountains, drivin the ATV on back trails etc. He asked "what do you do?"...I said surveyin and kinda told him the neat things...anyway long story short, he had some questions about his 40 acres and we chatted and he ended up telling me to survey his property and send him the bill....no if's no ands or butts... Do you ever feel like you were born to survey? I do and I have to be blessed to pick up work while visiting my doc about the last surgery. Keep living the dream guys.

I'm thinking that wouldn't have gone down that way if you yourself hadn't been on the ground to tell the tale. Being there makes it real in a way that the folks who send their minions out to earn while they learn can only dream about.

Needed to arrange for a refill on one of my legal prescriptions a couple of weeks ago. I punch in the doctor's office number from memory. They tell me it is simplest if I will call the pharmacy first and then have them contact the doctor. So, I hang up and punch in the pharmacy's number from memory. The good news is that my memory seems to be fine and the bad news is which numbers I have memorized.

At least it wasn't a 1-900 number and a woman didn't answer wanting your credit card number. The milking bucket is half full.

I have 7 prescriptions I take. 6 daily and 1 weekly.

type 2, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, blood pressure, etc.

Sucks. But still better than 1 of the alternatives, quit getting older.
